We are looking for businesses and individuals that want to help our charity continue to serve patients with Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia through the COVID-19 shut in. Charities cannot survive without fundraisers and events so we are taking a positive approach, a little to help get these families through a tough time.

About Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia:

Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH) is a birth defect that occurs when a baby’s diaphragm (a thin sheet of muscle that separates the abdomen from the chest) fails to fully form, allowing abdominal organs to enter the chest cavity and prevent lung growth.

CDH occurs in approximately 1 in 2500 births, with over 1600 babies diagnosed each year in the United States alone. There is currently no known cause, but studies have suggested that it is likely due to a number of genetic and environmental factors.

About the Event:

The Global CDH Race for Research is a virtual event that is set in a different location every month.

April 2023 Race - This Global CDH Awareness Race takes us from Zurich, Switzerland to Bern and then on to the WHO in Geneva. Walk / Run / Cycle to Bern to complete the race but if you're ambitious, keep going to Geneva.
